The story of BONZO GROUP (BGK) is one of rapid ascent within the transport sector in Côte d'Ivoire. The company successfully transformed values ​​of family solidarity into a model of managerial excellence.

2014–2019: Origins and the Turning Point

It all began in July 2014, when a young Ivorian executive—holding a degree in finance and business management—settled in Abidjan. His higher education and early steps in the economic capital were entirely funded and supported by his aunt, Ms. Solange Kouassi, and his mother, Ms. Innocente Kouakou. Recognizing that his success was the fruit of this collective effort, the founder aspired to build a major enterprise as a tangible expression of his gratitude.

February 2019: Official Founding

On February 23, 2019, the company was officially incorporated in Abidjan as an SARL (limited liability company) with a share capital of 10,000,000 FCFA. To honor his mentors, the founder chose not to put his own name at the forefront. Instead, he registered the trade name "KWASOL" (a contraction of Kouassi and Solange) and named the group "BONZO" in tribute to veteran Bonzo Kouassi—Solange’s father. This marked the birth of the official corporate acronym: BGK (Bonzo Group KWASOL).

2019–2024: Establishing a Presence in the Premium Market

From the outset, the company positioned itself in a demanding market segment: vehicle rentals with professional, bilingual chauffeurs. It immediately targeted an upscale clientele comprising expatriates, tourists, and foreign investors. 

• Fleet diversification: The group rapidly expanded its portfolio by acquiring the widest range of vehicles available in Abidjan, spanning everything from luxury sedans and 4x4 SUVs to airport shuttles, minivans, and high-capacity coaches. [1, 3]

• Securing institutional clients: Thanks to its operational rigor (digital management, fleet tracking, certified drivers), the company won major contracts with large international agencies (French Ministry of the Armed Forces & Veterans / CAMPS OPTA, USAID, JICA, KOICA, 4Transfer Company, 3HNTRYPZ, Internationaler Wirtschaftsrat e.V., Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, Interpol, African Union, UNIDO) and multinational corporations.

Since 2025: Recognition and overall leadership

Today, BONZO GROUP has established itself as the number one car rental company in Côte d'Ivoire. Based in the heart of the Cocody business district (II Plateaux Vallons, Rue des Jardins), the company has become a key player in comprehensive mobility solutions. It is currently managed under the leadership of Mr. Guy Alain Kouadio, Chairman of the Group's Board of Directors.
